REFUTATION TO SHABIR ALLY’S 101 CONTRADICTIONS PART 1

I will be making a Refutation to Shabir Ally’s 101 Contradictions in the Bible. And I will be dividing the Sections into Parts.

i Will show by the help of God’s Spirit that the Bible has no Contradictions.

You Can Find his 101 supposed Contradictions at Osama’s Website here:

I will be using the New King James Bible:

Now Let us Begin.

1. Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?

  • God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)
  • Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

Here are the Verses:

24 Again the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, “Go, number Israel and Judah.

And

21 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.

Now the answer to this is simple God allowed Satan to move David to count the number of Israel.

In other wards both God and Satan were Involved BUT FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES.

For Example in the New Testament Both Satan and God were involved in the Crucifixion.

In 1 Corinthians 2:8 we Read:

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

And

Isaiah 53:10

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath puthim to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Notice how Both Satan and God were involved the Death of Jesus, however both had different purposes in Mind.

God wanted to Crush his son so he can redeem Mankind and satisfy his Justice or Wrath, while Satan wanted to kill Jesus because he hates God and wanted rid him of this World.

Here is another passage.

In John 13:27 We Read 27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

So again We See here that Satan prompted Judas to Betray Jesus and hand him over to the Jews.

Here is another Passage:

In Luke 22:42 we Read;

42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”

Notice here Jesus is asking for the Cup (Sin of the World) to be passed however he says not my Will but your will.

So since it was the Father’s will and since Jesus was not Rescued then obviously it was his will for Jesus to die and bear the sins of Humanity.

So when this passage talks about God and Satan prompting David to count, both were involved however for different purposes.

2. In that count how many fighting men were found in Israel?

  • Eight hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
  • One million, one hundred thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

Here are the passages:

2 Samuel 24:9

9 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to the king. And there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword, and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

And

I Chronicles 21:5

5 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword.

Now at Face Value this might seem contradictory, however from a careful reading of the passage it is not.

Notice How in 1 Chronicles 21:5 It says “. ALL Israel had one million one hundred thousand men”

And in 2 Samuel 24:9 it says “And there were IN Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword

Notice the Difference in the Passages 1 Chronicles it says ALL Isreal had One Million On Hundred Thousand Men Who drew their swords.

So this is the TOTAL AMOUNT OF MEN THAT ISREAL HAD WHO DREW THEIR SWORDS.

While in 2 Samuel 24:9 it just says ” And there were IN ISREAL Eight hundred thousand who drew their swords.

So in 2 Samuel it’s saying 800 000  Men were IN Israel who Drew their swords , while 1 Chronicles is Giving us the TOTAL amount of Men in ALL of Isreal who drew their swords.

And to put the icing on the cake and Refute this Argument Notice in 2 Samuel it says ” “And there were in Israel eight hundred thousand VALIANT men who drew the sword.

Valiant definition:

val·iant
ˈvalyənt/
adjective

  1. 1.
possessing or showing courage or determination.
So this phrase immediately refutes Shabir’s supposed Contradiction, because 2 Samuel is focusing  on the 800 000 Men, who were determined to fight who drew their swords, while 1 Chronicles is giving us All the men who drew their swords  but is not specific on the 800 000 men who were determined to fight.
2 Samuel is including ALL the men of Israel who drew their swords while 1 Chronicle is being more specific about the DETERMINED/BRAVE/COURAGEOUS Men who drew their swords.
In other wards the author of Chronicle didn’t feel the need to include the Soldiers who were not willing to fight,or weren’t courageous etc…
So Conclusion ALL Isreal had 1 million 1 hundred thousand men who drew their swords, however only 800 hundred thousand of the 1 million 100 hundred were Determined or showing courage to fight.

    3. How many fighting men were found in Judah?

    • Five hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
    • Four hundred and seventy thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

    Here are the Passages again:

    2 Samuel 24:9

9 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to the king. And there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men who drew the sword, and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

    AND

    I Chronicles 21:5

5 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword.

Now for this supposed contradiction we must Read the Context:

Because If Shabir had Read the very next Verse in 1 Chronicles 21 it refutes the contradiction.

We Read Starting from verse 5-6 All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men WHO DREW THE SWORD.

Notice again that in 1 Chronicles it says ” and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men WHO DREW THE SWORD”

While in 2 Samuel We Read “and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men”

So Notice again in 1 Chronicles it describes the 470 thousand men WHO DREW THE SWORD, while in 2 Samuel it just simply says that Judah had 500 thousand Men.

In Other wards the Judah had 500 hundred thousand men, however 470 thousand of them fought or drew their swords.

    No Contradiction whatsoever.

    More to come

    Glory to Jesus
